Cap doesn’t feel that pressure because Cap is pressure enough for himself: he does what is required to satisfy his own moral conscience. Tony has no boundary between himself and the rest of the world. Everything is an extension of his own ego.

#i love how the rest of the world—and even the audience from our world—seem to read tony as being this really cool awesome guy #and i mean the suit is cool it’s undeniably cool and he is a genius and his ego is sometimes totally understandable because dude he has done this shit he can boast about it #but like what else does tony even have #look at the amount of times he is WILLING TO DIE to save someone he loves and cares about #look at how willing he is to let pepper blow him up in the first movie #because even if he dies he’ll take stane out with him and at least pepper will be safe and at least the rest of the world will be safe #and fuck stane even giving him that lecture about tony having made the world’s best weapon yet is probably why tony is so defensive of it and why he won’t let it go to anyone else but people he thinks he can trust to use it responsibly #which speaks volumes about what he thinks of rhodey (and in the comics also cap—because i’m sure norman’s patriot suit was originally built for cap but i could be mistaken—and pepper) #god i love tony stark #dude can be a complete jerk but you know something else??? He MAKES himself the jerk so someone else can be the hero #look at what he does in civil war and look at when he realises he could get out but he has to be the villain because SOMEONE has to do it and look at how fucking torn up he is when he realises all of the trouble it’s caused
